Xuber, the insurance software business of Xchanging, a unit of CSC, announced the delivery of its “Xuber for MGAs” platform for London-based Castel Underwriting Agencies Ltd.
Xuber for MGAs is a flexible digital platform that enables Castel to provide and manage services for its portfolio of underwriting cells on a single system, Xuber said in a statement, noting that the platform enables Castel to manage and report on its entire MGA business lifecycle – from new business capture through accounting and renewals.
Xuber for MGAs provides an integrated front-end and back-end system, including a portal for broker access, providing a centralized solution supporting regulatory, claims, accounting and analytics services, as well as bureau ACORD messaging, the company added.
“Castel is an ambitious business and we are constantly seeking ways to build on our successful portfolio of underwriting cells and improve the efficiency of our operating model,” said Mark Birrell, Castel’s chief executive officer.
The flexibility of the solution makes it easier for Castel to work with and support entrepreneurial underwriters and underwriting teams in building their MGA businesses.
“Automating our end-to-end operational, accounting and reporting processes will further enhance our ability to expand our business,” Birrell added.
“Xuber for MGAs provides comprehensive functionality and the capacity to deliver an adaptable solution quickly, which will add significant value to the services we deliver to our underwriting cells.
