Capsicum Re Latin America Taps Ribeiro and Nunes from Carpenter, Aon Benfield

Capsicum Re, the London-based specialist reinsurance broker, announce it has hired Marcio Ribeiro and Júlia Nunes to Capsicum Re Latin America Brazil.

Ribeiro is head of the facultative division and is based in Sao Paulo; Nunes is head of operations and is based in Rio de Janerio. Both report to Luiz Araripe, CEO of CRLA Brazil.

Ribeiro has over 20 years of reinsurance experience and joined from Guy Carpenter, where he was director for facultative business. Prior to this he was a client manager for Swiss Re Brazil. Ribeiro has also worked with Cooper Gay, where he was responsible for opening its office in Sao Paulo, Alexander Forbes and Miller do Brazil.

Nunes is a qualified actuary and joins from Aon Benfield Brazil. She spent the last six years as both a treaty broker and a junior actuary in the analytics team. Prior to this she worked for the Instituto de Resseguros do Brazil (IRB).
