AXA XL Partners with IPRS Health to Offer Employer’s Liability Insurance Solution in UK

AXA XL Insurance has partnered with IPRS Health to launch an employer’s liability insurance solution, AXA XL HealthAssist, for UK organizations.

With workplace injury and new cases of work-related ill-health costing employers approximately £3 billion ($3.8 billion) per year in the UK, the topic of wellbeing is rising up the agendas of boards across the country.

AXA XL HealthAssist provides companies with a holistic approach to wellbeing, by combining the security of a traditional employer’s liability insurance policy with the additional benefit of a wellness, health and injury rehabilitation service.

Delivered by independent clinical provider IPRS Health, the service gives employees access to a wide range of physiological and psychological support provisions, from after-injury physiotherapy to mental health counselling.

“Having a holistic approach to wellbeing is growing in importance for employers; putting people and their wellbeing front and centre is a key differentiator for modern businesses looking to attract the best talent,” said David Maynard, head of International Casualty UK at AXA XL, a division of AXA.

“As well as improving employee engagement and retention, it can also reduce bottom-line costs caused by ill-health and injury,” he added. “We’re delighted to partner with IPRS Health on AXA XL HealthAssist, so that clients can meet their legal and duty of care responsibilities, while also knowing their team can get back to performing at full strength.”

Sophia Le Sauvage, business development manager, at IPRS Health, commented: “Our offering, together with AXA XL, enables an employer to have a healthier workforce, reduce the cost of absence, maintain productivity and reduce potential claims.”
