Aspen Appoints Kotch from Validus as Chief Information Officer

Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. announced that Mary Kotch has been appointed chief information officer, with immediate effect.

Kotch has more than 20 years’ experience in strategic technology innovation, application shared services, managing a global project management office, infrastructure, architecture, and digital and data management.

Kotch will join the Aspen Group Executive Committee.

Kotch previously was global chief information officer at Validus Group, a position she had held since April 2015, according to her LinkedIn profile. She also was AIG’s CIO for Latin America, and the chief technology officer for the Americas region between May 2012 and April 2015, said the profile.

Before joining AIG in 2012, Kotch was vice president/chief architect at MetLife Investments between 2006 and 2012, added the profile.

She holds a law degree from Temple University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Penn State.

Kotch was recently named one of the “2019 Top 50 Women in Technology” by the U.S. National Diversity Council.
