Those companies are right in asserting the burden of proof lies with the accuser. There is NO scientific evidence that man is causing global climate changes.

Those companies are rightly telling the FSBTFoC-RFD to shove it up their gaseous exhaust pipe. Their recommendation was for VOLUNTARY financial disclosure.

???? The companies are admitting climate change is impacting their business decisions. “80 percent of the companies in the Moody’s sample said climate change was affecting strategic decisions”

“Of those in the 80%, how many are just playing PC games as big corporations are known to do these days?”

Why are you asking me? I simply cited what Moody’s Investors Service stated as reported in the article. You need to ask them this question.

“Most big corporations think the Climate Change hysteria is overblown politics”

…but…do they…really? Please provide your source to support this argument. I’d love to read the study or poll or any evidence to prove your conjecture is accurate.

Not wise to believe any polls these days. They are agenda driven.

            Sealioning. Look it up.

Exhibit A of PC politics for corporations: the NBA. All woke when it comes to inflated “social justice” complaints in the USA.

But REAL abuse from China? Shhhhh. The Chinese aren’t liberal American phonies demanding PC gibberish. They play for real.

I’m not Sealioning …. when you actually do post links, I read them and cite them verbatim as a response to your arguments, or I reply with an acknowledgement that you were correct as I’ve done before.

It’s also not Sealioning because you CONSTANTLY post statements that we’re simply supposed to believe are factual because you say they are and either (1) your links don’t say what you claim they do, or (2) the links refute your arguments, or (3) like now you refuse to post any links at all and just want us to take you at your word.

You could learn a lot from this article which explains why it’s dangerous to simply believe what someone claims to be factual without them ever supporting their argument.

            Craig,
Why do you care about the NBA? Nothing but a bunch of schizophrenic psychotics, right? Toking up their MJ on a regular basis.

I don’t think this report by Moody’s catches anyone by surprise. Of course business aren’t going to disclose that detail. They wouldn’t want to be held to standards.

Love how you take everything a corporation says as truth. Nah. Corporations would never consider the impact on sales when they make political pronouncements. They would never run those decisions by the marketing department first. Never.

100% agree Craig – I should admit when I am wrong. That brings us back to you saying “Most big corporations think the Climate Change hysteria is overblown politics”

and my reply of: “…but…do they…really? Please provide your source to support this argument. I’d love to read the study or poll or any evidence to prove your conjecture is accurate.”

If I’m wrong and you can prove your argument, I’ll be happy to admit it. If you simply want me to believe you without proof, I’m not going to admit I’m wrong because you can’t prove you’re right.

Oh, you are SO right, Jon. You are always right. I’m sure every corporation that makes a pronouncement is 100% honest and sincere and NEVER thinks about how it will impact business.

(Except the NBA I mean. And the NRA. Also Exxon. But Google, Facebook, Amazon, manufacturers of vaping products, CBD distributors, makers of gluten free bread and GMO free vegetables? They are ALWAYS honest and forthright.)

(When did liberals become suckers for corporations? I guess when they became warmongers in the Middle East . . .)

How would a corporate shill put it? What would someone say if they believed corporations’ every word? How about like this:

“The companies are admitting climate change is impacting their business decisions. “80 percent of the companies in the Moody’s sample said climate change was affecting strategic decisions”

I don’t know, maybe in your repeated efforts to downplay the negative behaviors of large corporations, your insistence that we don’t need to tax the wealthiest americans, or your repeated efforts to stop holding large corporations accountable for polluting the planet could give some idea of how a corporate shill might respond to things. It seems almost like a picture perfect example, honestly.

Except that I have never, ever said those things or taken those positions. But otherwise, putting words in my mouth . . . oh, wait! That’s what you criticized me for! What’s that called? Hypocrite. And again, that’s another thing you called me!

Don’t look in the mirror Mr. Wizard. Might not like what you see.

LOL it’s not putting your words in your mouth if I’m talking about things you’ve actually said. You’ve tried to whine that actions against the richest in our country would negatively affect the poorest, you’ve pretended you care at ALL about the poor, which is a lie. You seem to have a big issue with accountability, seems to be the real problem here Craig. You yell at others to MAN UP and answer things, yet you have never once admitted to the many lies you’ve been caught in on this board. I have no problem looking in the mirror, but I wonder how you manage that little feat. I imagine you don’t have any problem at all, you’re way past shame and introspection, and I’m guessing self respect.
