Man, these climate change stories get funnier and funnier. All hand wringing and NO solutions! From the article:

Thomas said that the only thing that would slow down the ice melting was if economies across the world began de-carbonizing themselves.

“Once we commit to this de-carbonized future can then we start thinking about potential options for trying to remove carbon from the atmosphere,” she added.

Many advanced economies have pledged to cut carbon emissions to net zero by 2050 though Australia is largely seen as dragging its feet on the issue despite recently suffering one of its worst brushfire seasons ever.

HA HA HA HA. Hey Mr. Scientist: Every country is “dragging it’s feet”, especially big carbon emitters like China and India. Hell, almost no country is honoring the commitments they made in the glorious Paris Climate Accord.

Tip for IJ readers: pick up a copy of the February 14 Wall Street Journal supplement on the future of energy. 10 pages of amazing good news you won’t read in the NY Times, CNN, or Insurance Journal.

Fusion Energy – the ultimate cheap, safe, carbon-free energy is now scientifically possible and may be real as soon as 10 years from now. Carbon recapture technology is becoming scalable, buying us unlimited time to move to renewables. Solar has been a joke because battery technology is stalled, but a new weight transfer technology may replace batteries for overnight storage of solar power.

It goes on and on. Great stuff. And it will help you laugh at all the Chicken Little stories.

“Recent human activity has intensified global warming, which could result in a mass melting of Antarctica…” I’m calling BS. How many times have we been told the sky is falling? I can’t get over the hubris of these people, to think that the puny efforts of man can affect the planet. And “purging” the atmosphere of carbon? Please. If you buy into this, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you. These people should just be honest and confess that they want to control…you…your money…your life.
