When you call help lines they usually say something like, “How can I assist you, is it okay that I put you on hold while I check this out etc…” The fewer players you have in any competitive market they will eventually be able to just tell you: ‘that’s just the way it is’ (and there’s nothing you or the govt can do about it)

Rarely is a move towards oligopoly in the favor of customers. We, as a people, need to police M&A to see that competition is not squelched.
