Unless a NOTAM has a direct impact on the safe navigation or movement of an aircraft, on the ground or in the air, it is useless. Knowing the grass between taxiways is being cut does not impede an aircraft from safely navigating on the ground or in the air.

They should also be prioritized in order of relevance so that mission critical NOTAMs are listed first for each departure or destination airport.

In these circumstances, less is more.

Everything in the NOTAM impacts safety (except the 7,000 ones that expired 90+ days ago), that’s why they have these reports in the first place. If the grass is being cut, pilots should know there will be additional humans and equipment on the ground they normally wouldn’t expect in those locations.

That said, totally agree on prioritization. Putting a closed runway on page 8 of 27 is absurd. Thankfully that change is on tap for 2020. But let’s not forget

      A0290/21 NOTAMN Q) VHHK/QNMAU/IV/NBO/AE/000/999/2219N11355E005 A) VHHH B) 2105252130 C) 2105252329 E) SIU MO TO DVOR/DME ‘SMT’ 114.80 MHZ/CH95X NOT AVBL DUE MAINT.

That format is junk, even to experienced pilots
