Look at it in the proper light, and the companies’ attitudes become even more heinous – Those People just don’t have enough premium dollars to dump in the corporate coffers, plus they’re just not good risks like decent suburban white folk…
What is this? Urban areas are something new? The carriers only want large corporate risks is the big cities. Credit scoring allows red lining for personal lines. High volume requirements eliminate having to appoint agents in the dreaded cities. Yet somehow there is this sudden need for urban agents in the new and emerging market????????????????????
I have an office in the midwest “urban” area in a town of 17K people. Marketing and volunteering at community functions help me show my face which means people see me everywhere, I volunteer in three connecting towns as well and a member of the 5 Chambers. People don’t want an agent they never see. They want an agent they see who cares. It is not about race it is about caring. So get your butts out of the office and take a proactive stand. USA is the only place you can come to and wind about how unfair life is or you can do something about it amd work 18 hours a day. GEt rid of the x-Box and Play Stations and get to work. This is America if you are unhappy get out. ant try to live your dream somewhere else. Whne you wind the world looks away when you smile the world smiles with you!
