This is a wonderful thing! Our military deserves the substantial acknowledgement for their heroic work! How terrific that a State government actually honors these brave men and women in this global war on freedom.

And please, also, look into financially supporting rehabilitation for blast injury survivors that may have brain injuries. The VA is overwhelmed with this issue for returning veterans. There is help through the Brain Injury Association of America, their State affiliates and other good organizations.

We don\’t need another group of veterans not getting the treatment they need. We now have the diagnostic and medical knowledge to treat those \”mild\”, yet very catastrophic brain injuries.

Brain Injury is not mental illness – it\’s an injury to the brain – the body\’s command and control center. It is not a good thing when HQ takes a hit. And so it is with the brain even when it is \”just\” shaken up. Rapid acceleration then deceleration can cause horrible cognitive consequences.

    GOOD JOB, MISSOURI!
