Farmington Hills, Mich.-based national specialty insurance wholesaler, underwriter and managing general agent Burns & Wilcox, has hired Irene Naida to serve as the company’s vice president of branch development and technology strategy. The announcement was made by Burns & Wilcox Chairman, President and CEO Alan Jay Kaufman.
As vice president of branch development and technology strategy, Naida will evaluate and direct new technology solutions, identify industry best practices and ensure the adoption of those solution strategies at the branch offices of Burns & Wilcox.
“We are placing significant emphasis on process and technology at Burns & Wilcox, and Irene’s addition is a reflection of that,” Kaufman said. “The addition of Naida builds upon what Burns & Wilcox has already invested, in terms of time and resources to upgrade the company’s delivery capabilities.”
In 2006, the company began offering Internet processing and online quotes (price indications) on its Web site, www.burnsandwilcox.com, for a great number of personal lines products. Burns & Wilcox currently offers online quoting and applications for personal umbrella, vacant property, personal liability, boat and personal watercraft, mobile home, dwelling fire, RVs and motorcycles.
Burns & Wilcox also launched new, individual Web sites for each of the company’s 36 offices nationwide this year.
Prior to joining Burns & Wilcox, Naida served as regional vice president with Compuware Corp., where she was responsible for the sales and delivery of distributed products and professional services solutions. Her previous expertise also includes structuring and leading complex organizations to maximum efficiency, productivity and growth.
