    Woopie, letrs throw a party. I know several public adjusting firms that do at least that amount every year. Kansas needs some good consumer protections laws with some teeth that has some serious penalties for BAD FAITH

    Bbefore we start throwing stones… Lets see some actual numbers on the number of claim disputes that additional money ended up being paid out.

    “Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger’s office said it helped thousands of Kansas consumers…”

    How many is thousands? 2000? 3000? 12,000? 20,000?

    Also what sort of policies were being claimed against?

    Lets say there were 10,000 disputes. Total additional payout per insured is $1,380. For an auto policy that’s a fair amount, for a home or health policy it’s a drop in the bucket when considering the magnitude of a potential claim.
