Liberty should really change their ad campaign of being “responsible”. Pony up for these poor victims if you are that responsible. I realize it’s a business but don’t pretend to be something you’re not. The public is not stupid despite what you think. Being exposed as a fraud will be a humbling experience Ted.
Call me crazy but I don’t mind an insurance company fighting a judgment that stems back from 40+ years ago, especially in today’s hard economic times. Previous Abestos related claims against other insurance carriers are littered with fraudulant claimants, exaggerated bills, etc. Remember-when fraud is committed against carriers, the buck/costs are just filtered down to the consumer via higher rates. I belive standing up to fraud IS showing Responsibility.
Absolutely, the courts should allow the policies to cover far more than the contract allows. Otherwise, how would the Trial Lawyers eat? Another insurance company critic who doesn’t seem to understand the law of contracts. Just because someone suffered a loss doesn’t mean it’s covered.
