Well, I don’t have any other information other than what is contained in the article. It states that he was charged with 78 felonies in 2008 and his license was revoked in April 2008. That is quick action unless you are privy to information not contained in the article.

This is just another example of how quickly state regulators move to expel criminals from the insurance industry. If only the feds could say the same! Congratulations to Commissioner Hamm and his staff, who did a fine job without needing a fingerprint background check to get Mr. Atkins out of the business. Not only will Mr. Atkins be expelled in North Dakota, but because of modern regulatory tools such as the National Insurance Producer Registry(NIPR), he will not be eligible get an insurance license in ANY jurisdiction in the U.S. for at least 10 years!

Obviously I’m being sarcastic about the quote … but David I’m hoping you are too. You would think the FIRST felony would be enough for them to cancel his license. WHY ONLY AFTER 78 IS HE REVOKED?! This is quick action?!
