What a wonderful idea… maybe our illustrious leaders will follow their own advise.

How about a congressional investigation into campaign contributions by Fannie and Freddie to Barney Franks and also into Barneys gay lovers salary while working at Fannie Mae. Or Chris Dodd’s favorable loan he recieved?

In this soft market, suicide sounds like a viable idea. You first, Mr. Grassley!!

    Basic Truths:
    1. The “financial sector (banks & Wall St.) is an insidious and incestual rats nest that has managed to protect itself by making its own rules. It has to change.

    2. Our political system is an insidious and incestuous rats nest that has managed to protect itself by making its own rules. It has to change.

    3. NEVER trust a person to do the right thing when money is involved. This will never change.

    4. The American public has no mechanism to fight for itself outside the incestuous and insidious rats nest of the political mechanism. This has yet to change. We all type our hearts out in these blogs buts its akin to preaching to the choir.

We have a problem: how do we keep the inmates from running the asylum? Americans need someone to organize and represent the common man to stop this kind of abuse. Perhaps the idiots in Washington would get the point if everyone refused to file income tax returns. Someone suggested the American public file a class action lawsuit against the government for failing to manage the economy? What’s preventing that? Why can’t the American people organize to vote the old puss bags out of office? Somethings wrong with society when we have to be helpless in the face of all that is going on. Our”elected” officials were more interested in steroids and baseball than watching our economy. Are they losing their jobs? NO. Are they taking salary cuts? NO. Is their retirement in jeapardy? NO. Will they lose their lifetime medical benefits? NO. How many of us can say the same? What’s next? We go to Mexico to find work?

I am in agreement 100%. How do we do it?

Let’s take away their retirement and health care and see how fast they work to protect us!

Seriously, we should all be giving some thought on how we and our industry might be able to impact this problem. We can rule out following the Japanese business model of suicide. They do the honorable thing. People here have no honor.

    Diane,

You should go live somewhere else. Japan maybe?

There are plenty of honest, hard-working and honorable Americans. The “common” man/woman is not the problem.

Come on, use your head for something other than a coaster for your bosses’ tea.
