at last we are getting away from all the damage the Bush Cheney people did to our economy its good to have a real president in office instead of one who flies to Texas every weekend and doesnt care about the little people

Nice try but this mess was brought on by the idiots in Congress, most of whom remain there. Could have been avoided if they cared about doing what we elected them to do instead of lining their pockets and making sure their favorite special interest groups continued to suck at the public teat.

Let’s not forget to mention the fact that Obama’s policies have done nothing for manufacturing. Rosie, do you know how much money from the close to $800B stimulus has seen it’s way into the economy? Less than 20%. And it didn’t go into Mfg.

The cause of the growth in July was simply driven by the fact that the market rallied and people cashed in on profits and bought manufactured goods. The goods they bought however were those sitting in inventory and were not hot of the production lines. In case you haven’t read anything in the last 3 weeks, which I can assure that you haven’t, unemployment is still on the rise and companies made money in the 2Q largely because they cut jobs and sold inventory – no one is manufacturing.
