First of all it ss not the public’s money. It is the money of the people who choose to pay for auto insurance in Michigan.

Anyone with any common sense knows that the cost of medical care has and will continue to go up without some major fixes. How could anyone believe the MCCA will cover everyone forever with no $ cap?

    Attorneys involved…? Enough said.

It was a stupid law to institute in the first place with no caps, either time or monetary, attached. It needs reform period.

“The Coalition Protecting Auto No-Fault includes hospital and health groups, trial lawyers and other organizations.”
Sounds like a den of thieves to me. When is the last time trial lawyers did anything that helped the insurance consumer save money?
Hospitals don’t want to see a fee schedule, no fault is the last place they can cost shift to. MCCA cannot continue on with no cap. The numbers just don’t add up.

They would all lose the gravy train especially when Medicare pays $400 for an MRI, but auto companies pay $1800. Lawyers, enough said. Tired of reading their lawsuit form that always includes “loss of consortium” no matter what the injury! They need to be a little more creative.

Just look at some of the suits we read about here. Bet that’s just a fraction of them.

Who was the governor of Michigan when the MCCA was created by our legislature…this association is run by all insurance people hummmmm…why is the association private and is the association conforming to the rules of a “non-profit” organization. What is todays’ nerd doing about it…we’ve all been watered on…oh yea..why do the associations accountants have special permission to use accounting practices that no other organizations can use…have to leave you…my volcano is ready to erupt.
