The Federal government is broke, the state is broke – According to the National Conference of State Legislatures “Illinois’ financial situation is worse than any other state in the country” It looks like us nasty insurance companies are going to have to ride in to safe the day.

FEMA did the same thing to us here in TX last summer with the wildfires. At one time the size of Rhode Island was on fire in our state but FEMA said no… Could it be politial (Red State, or Red County or Blue State or County???) You wonder…..

“Even those that had homeowners insurance, what we’re finding is that, OK, they come in, they’ll pay for certain things, but the homeowners are going to be out thousands of dollars dealing with this catastrophe.”

    (1) Why should FEMA pay to make people whole in a disaster?
    (2) @TZ Agent – politics always plays a part, The FEMA winds are blowing against the rural communities right now… The Eastern states should ahve been well-prepared for the recent hurricane, but FEMA is shelling out for their decades of poor planning.

FEMA has refused aid to Southern Illinois tornado victims. These are the farm towns and farmers that feed the USA and the world. Perhaps FEMA wants us to import more of the wonderful foods from Mexico? Why don’t we just import our food from China? Don’t you want to eat USA grown food? Then please support the farm towns and farmers that grow it! Let FEMA know by signing this petition. http://www.change.org/petitions/rural-america-ignored-by-fema-these-are-the-farmers-that-feed-you
