Meemic Insurance Services Now Available to Wisconsin Educators

Meemic Insurance Co., a Michigan-based insurance provider offering personal auto, homeowners, and umbrella coverages tailored exclusively to teachers and other educational employees, announced it will immediately begin offering insurance services to Wisconsin educational employees.

Meemic Insurance Co. has been offering the Michigan educational community protection, products and services at preferred rates for more than 62 years.

Founded by educators as an insurance company to serve fellow educators, Meemic strives to partner with members of the educational community including public, charter and parochial K-12 school systems as well as higher education institutions to provide products, programs and assistance to recognize and foster educational excellence.

Meemic Insurance is only available to the educational community and members of educational associations including Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC), Wisconsin Council of Religious & Independent Schools (WCRIS), Wisconsin Charter Schools Association (WCSA), Wisconsin Retired Educators’ Association (WREA), National Education Association (NEA), and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

Insurance benefits provided are specific to educators and include a low $25 deductible for covered comprehensive losses to a vehicle on school property, and special liability coverage for transporting students to and from school events – and more.

In addition to offering insurance services, Meemic also supports the educational community through The Meemic Foundation. The Meemic Foundation for the Future of Education, a non-profit organization created in 1992 by Meemic Insurance Co., offers financial assistance to schools and educators in the form of grants. Currently, the Foundation is accepting book grant applications.
