I hope the Fireman’s Fund who is behind Chicago Insurance paper does not get by with this.

Why? This is exactly why Insurance companies’ exclude intentional acts – its in the public’s best interest! Make the tort-feasor (& their enablers), who is/are responsible, pay damages. Sadly enough this is the only way to give them the incentive to STOP DOING WHAT THEY’RE DOING. You’d hope that a Diocese would do the right thing without hitting ’em where it hurts, but sadly they haven’t.

Sometimes you might go out on a limb for a victim when the tort-feasor is an individual with no hopes of compensating a victim. This is NOT THE CASE here! The Vatican could pay every victim $2M right now and not bat an eye.

They’ve spent more than that over the decade ducking the allegations, defending suits, etc.

The Holy See should open the blind eye at the vatican and take care of these poor kids. (and not just money).
