I just had my second fusion and what you have to go thru now is way too long and now BWC is making it even longer, It took me 1 1/2 year to get it approved. I only tool RX for 2 weeks after. The cost for 2 days stay and surgery was around 118,000.00 and BWC paid 65000.00.
It is the cost is the reason why BWC is dragging it out. The system is not for the Injured worker! It is for the Employer. Since my accident BWC has paid out over 1/2 million dollars at there cost.
Ohio BWC has made in excess of 29 Billion dollars and climbing. daily. Ohio BWC is the largest state corp and is governed by itself. The Governor has no input nor the AG
Ohio BWC is not designed to get you back to work. Their main goal is to cut cost and do the minimum amount of medical treatment.

Isn’t Ohio a Monopolistic State Fund state? Perhaps that is part of their problem, a bureaucracy.
