I had a Slip-and-Fall on Icy Walk Path at St. Matthew Lutheran Church,
School and Cemetery private small business (all in one) located in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois on 2/5/2019. I was perfectly fine before the fall. The paths and parking lot was icy and slippery – not salted or maintained. Many of us that attended Funeral Service for a friend of the family. As I walk back to my car with my mom, I slipped at the end of the ice and fell flat on my face for the first time in my life. The extent of my injuries is my teeth is bad condition – broken teeth and came out, top and bottom teeth split, chipped and loose. The trauma affected me emotionally and physical appearance. My Dentist brought up to my attention that I need to see ENT because of my breathing heavily through my mouth and not through my nose. I cannot even blow my nose. I need to have a Deviated Septum Surgery so I can breathe better like the way I did before the fall. The Church, Adjuster and Supervisor only got off cheap and not owning up to their wrongdoings. A 5K Medical Policy and refusing to let me take advantage of the Church Liability policy is HORRIBLE – HORRIBLE AND UNJUST! If they are operating business and Christian, they will do the right thing by taking care of this matter. They only paid $5K to my Dentist. They told me I am responsible for the rest. THEY WILL NOT DO ANYMORE TO ASSIST ME! THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT CHRISTIAN!!!!! Churches that have Brotherhood Mutual as the coverage is very cheap. They are sure getting off cheap. With Medical and Dental so out of control and outrageous, 5K does not cover everything. I AM FURIOUS AND SEARCHING FOR OPTIONS IN GETTING ST MATTHEW OF HAWTHORN WOODS, IL TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. I AM OPEN FOR OPTIONS. RIGHT NOW I AM UPSET AND IN NEED OF HELP AND GETTING THIS OUT IN THE OPEN OF HOW THIS PARTICULAR CHURCH / CEMETERY AND BROTHERHOOD MUTUAL INSURANCE TOOK CARE OF THIS MATTER.
