We should take it out of the politicians hides but we are talking 30 years worth of inaction and lack of leadership that we would need to collect on.

I don’t recall violence and damage during the last 30 years, only 2020 and only in cities run by Democrats. Please update me.

“I don’t recall violence and damage during the last 30 years”
          ” Please update me.”

          Rodney King riots much? Also….

2000 – Brooks Brothers riot, Miami-Dade County, Florida
2001 – Seattle Mardi Gras riot, February 27, 2001, Seattle, Washington
2005 – Civil disturbances and military action in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, August – September, New Orleans, Louisiana
          2005 – 2005 Toledo riot, October 15, Toledo, Ohio
2007 – The Los Angeles May Day mêlée, May 1, Los Angeles, California
2009 – Riots against BART Police shooting of Oscar Grant, January 7, 120 arrested, Oakland, California
2009 – Akron riots, March 14, 2009, 7 arrested; and July 2009, unknown number arrested, Akron, Ohio

Do any of those count as “violence and damage during the last 30 years”?

            You know his point.

Why don’t you go in nightly riots, matching the current dollar total in inflation adjusted dollars? I would wager a bet, the last 100 days of rioting in Oregon and nationwide are higher than all of those combined. The riots in current day are far worse than they have been, and longer, and that was Craig’s point, but your only goal seems to be making a conservative seem extreme for making comments which make total sense.

Often the only point I see you making is, “Craig says things that sound extreme and against my side”

Well, maybe you need to be critical of democrats, which you don’t do here. I see no such posts against any liberal here, I see no posts about the democrats positions or contributions to these riots, but I have numerous times seen you say that words matter from leaders…Except democrats in riot torn cities.

Yeah, I’m probably on point, but getting math on it now.

1.4 billion on George Floyd riots alone.

And in fact, it’s built in in, the fact check on the right, but you idiots on the left don’t realize it.

I’ve seen it, I’ve experienced it.

If someone on the right says for example: Black communities commit more crime,

Everyone has an instinctual reaction to fact check it. Since it sounds bad.

If the left says say the other side, “black communities suffer more crime” people are more likely to agree with it, or sympathize with it.

This is the case for most left vs right positions.

Like cops shooting black folks, there are plenty of studies which suggest what the person did is what matters most here, before getting shot.

That’s not reported on by media, other than Fox.

Instead, we see the studies about disproportionate shootings against black folks, even when deaths are in the double digits, (19 last year) they then focus on the delta (2.5 times!!! So like 7 white guys, but we need a higher number so let’s go 2.5 time!!!)

And when a reasonable outlet like Fox says that the left is being misleading, there is an automatic instinctual reaction Rosenblatt, and I don’t get how you don’t see this. YOU have this reaction, in that you go that Fox number makes me upset.

CRAIG also has this reaction, but rather than doing what you do

(emotions get out of control you say it can’t be true and you try to find left leaning sources to show what you want to believe is true)

Craig, his emotions get out of control, says maybe it is true though, let’s look at what the right has to say here, and gets mad that his emotions were manipulated.

You both get mad, you both are instinctual, but your feelings are somehow justified, and you then accuse him of not being fact oriented.

It’s an equation to me. You both repeat it, but his, you disregard his humanity each time, and he expects you to do what you do, it’s not why he’s mad at you. He’s mad that you see yourself as superior, whereas he just sees you as typical.

You still don’t get this, but you best read into what I’m saying, I know a lot more about this than you want to admit, intra political relationships, demographics, psychology, etc. I was obsessed with it, it is what inadvertently got me into sales, and good at sales. Oddly enough, I wanted to fix a family (I did, and I have never seen someone else get done what I did).

            Hi Bob,

I will be more than happy to engage with you here, but I need you to do me a small favor first. Remember our conversation here?

            https://www.insurancejournal.com/news/national/2020/08/24/580136.htm/?comments

How many times did you claim I said India?
How many times did I ACTUALLY say India?

How many times did I try pointing out where you misread me and yet you STILL kept claiming I was talking about India?

If you can you admit you misread my posts and even did so MULTIPLE TIMES after I kept trying to point out where you misread my argument, I’d be glad to discuss this in more detail.

Otherwise, I don’t see the point in engaging with you if you’re never going to admit you kept claiming over and over that I said something which I never actually posted even in spite of me trying to show you where you were wrong.

            Here’s why that’s cute:

            https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/08/george-floyd-killing-police-arrest-non-violent-protesters

As usual, the media spin trying to say our government is out of control for this (they aren’t) 10,000 people were arrested as of June. We are well past that.

We have not had riots like this.

There was a (salon?) lady on Fox news the other day who said she got a bill for 200K, Minn took it down because it was leaning toward the sidewalk after being a total loss.

What the hell are these contractors billing for? The last time I demolished a burned 2200sf home the entire cost was $5200 TOTAL. These are small businesses WTH?

i have been a commercial insurance broker for 30 years. I find it difficult to have the client even purchase a “standard” insurance coverages policy that protect the basic needs of the business. When you start adding Earthquake,Flood, Cyber Protections. etc, the clients’ eyes go glassy. Many clients buy Liability insurance because the landlord requires it; business contents because the lender requires it . There is no such policy that provides “all risk” insurance coverages. The exclusions are longer than the the terms that explain what coverages the client has. Now there is a big brouhaha problem as business interruption insurance does not cover pandemic virus claims. Policies are priced under actuarial statistics based on common hazards like fire and slip and fall risks. It is what it is.

I am also a commercial guy. DeBris Removal is something I increase and dont tell the client they can reduce. I know how it all adds up, but debris removal is a biggie.

More information of the contractors would be interesting. Have some debris haulers, recycling companies that remove debris from construction sites. Some are subbing out the trucking component due to the cost of commercial auto. These companies will have insurance requirements from the GC that include ; CA, WC, GL, Pollution, and Excess. The driver of this high CA cost has got to be the legal environment. One law office advertises 24 hours a day on every page of the newspaper and on every channel.
