First Joint Convention of IIAA, NAAIA and LAAIA

In a first for the insurance industry, the Independent Insurance Agents of America’s 2000 annual meeting will be a joint industry affair, with agents from the National African-American Insurance Association and the Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies.

The event is an extension of IIAA’s commitment to creating market opportunities for multicultural agents. IIAA’s 105th Annual Convention & InfoXchange will be held Oct. 29 through Nov. 1 at the Orlando World Center Marriott.

IIAA, NAAIA and LAAIA will join together at the meeting for the industry’s only event tailored to meet the specific needs of multicultural agents.

“This joint convention is just one of the many ways that IIAA is reaching out to multicultural agents and promoting the opportunities in the communities they serve. Through IIAA’s efforts, we hope to enhance the presence of multicultural agents in the insurance marketplace, help them to grow their business and change perceptions toward multicultural insurance markets,” said IIAA President William M. Houston.

“This special convergence also will provide the opportunity for information sharing and networking among IIAA, NAAIA and LAAIA member agents and top insurance company leaders from across the country.”
