Safety Insurance has entered into an agreement with IVANS, Inc. to use Transformation Station™.
Safety will use Transformation Station, a data exchange for real-time transactions, on the Agents Virtual Community (www.onceanddone.com) portal to allow independent agents to process business through its AVC SEMCI policy processing application.
With AVC SEMCI, agents can perform ACORD file uploads from their agency system or rate quote software in a secure Web environment without having to re-enter policy information. Once the policy is uploaded, AVC SEMCI uses Smart Edits to check the data on the policy to ensure that the required policy information is complete and correct. In this way, an agent can submit business to Safety knowing that it will be rated and processed correctly, the first time, without the need for follow-up work by agent customer service representatives.
Working with Computer Sciences Corp (CSC), Safety’s partner in creating AVC SEMCI, the bridge to Transformation Station should be configured and available to agents in the 2nd quarter of this year. Once the IVANS upload is available through the Agents Virtual Community, agents who choose to use their agency systems as the processing starting point can easily complete the transaction on AVC SEMCI through the Transformation Station bridge.
To further leverage IVANS Transformation Station capabilities, the AVC SEMCI application will soon be more than just an upload vehicle. In the near future, Safety will rate the policy interactively and allow an agent to print a new business application and declaration page in his or her office. This will give an agent the ability to hand a finished policy across the desk to an insured customer in one visit.
