AAI Releases Updates on Two Workers’ Comp Publications

October 31, 2002

The latest editions of two workers’ compensation publications are now available from the Alliance of American Insurers.

The first, Workers Compensation Insurance: Profiles of the State’s System, provides state-by-state information, including market shares by the leading writers, residual market structure, insurance operating ratios, average claim cost and frequency by type of rating law. It also includes the name, address and telephone number of the state workers’ compensation administrator. The Profiles are structured to allow quick comparisons among states and, for several items, between state and national results.

In addition, the 2002 Edition of the Alliance’s Survey of Workers Compensation Laws is now available. The update reflects the most recent changes to state workers’ compensation laws and regulations, providing a summary of their major provisions in chart and table format. It includes a wide range of topics of interest to workers’ compensation professionals, such as Benefit Offset Provisions, Temporary Total Disability Benefits and Permanent Partial Disability Benefits, Workers’ Compensation Provisions on Access to Medical Information/Reports, Workers’ Compensation Policy Midterm Cancellation/Non-renewal Notice Requirements and more.

While available free on the Alliance Web site, www.allianceai.org, to members, the books can be purchased by non-members for $30 each.
