PIA Fed. Legislative Summit Set for Washington, D.C.

Members of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) are set to converge on the nation’s capital on Thursday, April 3, for their annual Federal Legislative Summit.

The 2003 PIA Federal Legislative Summit is a gathering of PIA members from across the nation. It is a one-day legislative “fly-in” by PIA members who spend a day lobbying their elected representatives in their Capitol Hill offices.

“It is essential that PIA members have this annual opportunity to visit with their elected representatives at their Capitol Hill offices to make their views known,” PIA Federal Affairs Committee Chairman Robert Page of Homa, Louisiana, said. “There is no better way to forge and maintain relationships with lawmakers than to do it up-close and personal.”

The Summit begins with a breakfast and briefings at the Capitol Hill Club. After that, PIA members will spend the day meeting with lawmakers on Capitol Hill. That evening, the Professional Insurance Agents Political Action Committee (PIAPAC) holds its annual PIAPAC Fundraising Dinner.

Guest speakers have not yet been announced.
