Software AG’s PowerLynX Coverage Reporting Available

Software AG, Inc. (www.softwareagusa.com) announced the availability of PowerLynX(TM) Coverage Reporting, an interactive communications management solution for insurance carriers.

PowerLynX Coverage Reporting enables insurance companies, representatives, agents and brokers to actively deliver personalized policy information to customers over the Internet. Customers can interact with this information in real-time, leading to increased retention, improved coverage and additional sales opportunities.

PowerLynX Coverage Reporting communications are delivered in rich text email format, enabling customers to:

*Better understand complex insurance terminology;
*Receive explanations about their current coverage;
*Access helpful hints on reducing risk;
*Explore ways to lower their insurance costs.

PowerLynX Coverage Reporting uses Extensible Markup Language (XML) technology to transform static policy information into interactive documents that can be created dynamically based on each customer’s unique profile.

PowerLynX’s interactive pop-ups and menus provide customers with easy-to-read information, explanations of confusing terminology or calculations, and opportunities for purchasing related services.

Insurance companies can manage their communications with customers through a single interface even though the content of the communications might have been drawn from different systems throughout the insurance company. Agents can track client responses online and respond quickly to inquiries.

PowerLynX Coverage Reporting is one of the first industry-specific applications based upon Software AG Inc.’s recently announced PowerLynX client communications management solution.

Integrating with a variety of back-office systems, PowerLynX automatically combines modifiable document templates with database content and distribution list information to create personalized interactive documents that can be sent over the Internet.

When a PowerLynX message is received as an email, the customer is able to open the message as a hypertext markup language (HTML) document and interact with it in a manner similar to forms available on a Web portal. However, PowerLynX does not require customers to proactively visit an external Web site.

The PowerLynX architecture is based upon open standards such as XML and Web Services, eliminating the need to re-engineer existing organizational applications, and providing a fully scalable platform for future growth. PowerLynX also integrates with existing security systems, and incorporates current encryption and authentication technologies.
