The big companies are “free” to do whatever they want to their Indpendent Agents. Where is justice???

There was a day when the insurance companies used to be loyal to their Agents. Now, all they want is their sweat and bones. That’s called GREED!!and deep pockets.

Big insurance companies have always dictated to their “independent agents” that they can and will do whatever they want to. Pay them nothibng for the priveledge of placing business with them. I would like to see them survive on such a small income and margin.

The big companies now are in controll of the state of Texas. Even the TDI cannot controll the companies at this point. Farmers is doing the same thing to their agents as far as treating them as employees and forgetting who brought them to the dance. They have no loyalty and no ethics. I do believe that this will eventually catch up with them. As agents leave the company they will take most of their clients with them. Their insureds will soon find out that they are being over cahrged with inflated premiums. WE have all been lied to and cheated.

I was an Allstate Agent and my view is that they lie to their agents, which means that the agents appear to be lying to their customers. Ed Liddy, almost buried Sears and is having success with Allstate at the expense of their dedicated agency force! I feel they discriminate against age and race (African American). It’s amazing what you hear in the lounge after corp. meetings.

I was an Allstate agent from 1987 to 2000. One day my regional manager was meeting with me, and told me my production was not high enough. I told him I was happy with my paycheck. His reply was, “You’re a young man, you can find another job.”
That’s the day I decided to leave.

Amongst many, many stories that i have over my 18 years of service to Allstate from sexual harrasement, etc, I remember one of my customers who told me that years ago when he was young he worked in underwriting for Allstate and when auto apps came in they were designated if BLACK PERSON by an initial at the top. I have documentation on my treatment over the years by allstate. Like you I was different..Blonde and pretty with brains who made more that some of her counterparts (mamagers). Rules were made up as to whatever the managers wanted to do at that time. Sad way to run a business. I am so glad i do not work for that company. It was interesting that i gave 18 years of my life to them and when i sold my book my girlfriend of 52 years of age with only 10 years of dedicated employment to allstate was allowed to keep her health insurance. Does not take a rocket scientist to figure that one out!!

My dad is 90 yrs old, just passed a driver’s road test with flying colors. He lives at home, shops, swims does everything. He got a very nasty letter in the mail this week from Allstate Insurance in Windsor Ontario. It seems they are refusing to insure him because he is too old! He has been a customer since their Co. started up. I am looking for the CEO mailing address & cannot locate it anywhere. His name is Michael Donoghue. Does anyone know where I can contact this individual in order to write HIM a nasty letter…. Thanks.
