As an independant agent currently representing both Allstate and Encompass, I can’t see how marketing these products through Encompass makes any sense. Their marketing force is atrocious! Allstate’s strength for IAs is their strong marketing support and excellent marketing reps who are consistantly our agency’s best. Sad to say but Encompass’ marketing is their biggest weakness – they have a lot to learn from Allstate’s IA marketing people!

How does an independent agent get in touch with Allstate for an appointment?

Good luck, they don’t do a lot of new IA appointments, mostly because the IAs we have don’t hardy write anything through Allstate… If the IAs we had would send Allstate business maybe they’d see the need for more.
