I’m getting lost, why in the world would AON be talking settlement with the AJ’s of these states, if no criminal charges, or potential for criminal charges has been either brought up or found?

The industry is getting bullied by these people, when in fact this should have been initially handled by the Insurance Departments of these states, or were they just to petrified to speak?

Does anyone out there think that AON is not as guilty as Marsh in bid rigging?
I believe every major broker fixes bids. I think large regional brokers tell underwriters what to quote in a proposal. The various states AGs know what they’re on to and by making settlement without big public fanfare, they’ll save the industry more embarrassment.
This scandal could potentially rock the foundation of the P/C industry.
