PCI Announces Staff Hires, Promotions

The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America has announced the addition of William “Bill” Fritts to serve as executive vice president, responsible for oversight and coordination of PCI’s federal and state political advocacy and public affairs efforts, and Tom Litjen as director, federal government affairs in the association’s Washington, D.C., office. Other promotions were also announced.

Fritts has more than three decades of legislative, corporate and consulting experience. Prior to joining PCI he was a senior managing partner of Intersect Strategies Group, a government and business consultant organization based in St. Paul, Minn.

Fritts has also held executive positions with ReliaStar Financial Corporation and ING. He has served as Minnesota chief of staff of U.S. Senator Dave Durenberger, as assistant secretary for legislative and inter-government affairs at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and as a senior advisor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services. He was also the political affairs director for the Health Insurance Association of America.

Litjen has over 20 years of legislative and political experience and most recently served as counsel for U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska).

PCI also announced that June Holmes has been promoted to the position of executive vice president, infrastructure, where she will be responsible for administrative services, information technology, accounting, human resources and facilities, and for oversight of the Independent Statistical Service Inc., PCI’s for-profit subsidiary.

Joseph Annotti has been promoted to senior vice president, public affairs. He is responsible for directing the association’s media relations activities at the state and federal level.

Joanne Orfanos has been named senior vice president, membership and marketing communications. She is responsible for recruiting and retaining members and for membership communications.
