It seems to me, if they get away with that, they should also submit to regulation of the Insurance Industry and protect it from insider fraud.

This is lobbying at its best. It’s a push for legislation that helps the insurance industry. However, the main impact is to improve the situation for honest consumers. We all save when the fraudsters are caught, but to catch ’em, law enforcement needs the resources.

    What a great idea!
Now who will police the insurance companies that rip consumers off? People pay for insurance and companies don’t pay off on a legitimate claim and then tell you to get lost.
    Right, Omaha-ha?

What does it take to stop the ambulance chasers and whiplash artists from driving up the cost of insurance and the automatic fault laws in CA just gives them ammo. Finally the joke of getting insurance renewing your registration then dropping the insurance may be over but still somebody will find a way around that. Faking injuries are heinous and should punished to the letter of the law. I believe that frauds makes us suspicious of everyone because it so prevalent.
