Thomas G. Myers, vice president of product management at High Point Safety and Insurance Management Corp., began his term as president of the Casualty Actuarial Society at the organization’s annual meeting.
Myers succeeds Paul Braithwaite, managing director at Navigant Consulting, in the president’s role.
Christopher S. Carlson, a consultant for Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, was selected to be president-elect.
Myers has been a Fellow of the CAS since 1986. He has served in a variety of leadership positions for the CAS, including vice president of admissions. He also served as a member of the Examinations Committee for 19 years, including three as chairperson. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
The Casualty Actuarial Society is an organization dedicated to the advancement of actuarial science applied to property, casualty and similar risk exposures.
