The Bush administration doesn\’t think it is necessary to place one agency in charge of monitoring the safety of what we place in our children\’s mouths??? In light of the recent outbreaks and illnesses and deaths I would think that anyone would favor gaining more control over our food industry. Let\’s tighten up the ropes and raise the standards for this industry. How awful is it that someone deliberately ingests something that they think is going to help them to be healthy and instead, they die! This is not trivial but serious. One death is one death too many.

Yeah, it\’s all Bush\’s fault – just like everything else! Guess he makes a good scapegoat for everyone that isn\’t quite sure who should be blamed… The census is that it must be his fault!

I love ya though George & if you could run again I would be campaigning for you!

Kick some Iraqi A$$, Hang Saddam, blow away the Taliban & let\’s get on with it!

By the way, God loves Bush too & anyone who thinks they could have done better, you be sure to run in the 08 election! Better start campaigning now though if you want a decent chance….

Bush is not at fault for the E. Coli break out. But his administration should definitely look into it further and see what more can be done to prevent this in the future. Anyone who is able to do so and make a difference should. That\’s all. This is not about Iraq. This is about leafy greens.

    You are right Kimberly

HE LIED TO US, HE PLAYED ON OUR FEARS…

This is the Bush Administrations fault. He caused global warming and now, with the melting of the polar ice caps, e. coli is spreading to our food.

How does another agency and the cost of another agency help. FDA needs more inspectors, that is the budget situation. How could we support another agency? Most plants m a y see an inspector every two years. The inspectors are very good at what they do. I have been on the receiving end of their inspections enough times to know.
