Just turn on all the lights and you can clearly see there is no such thing as global warming.

Most importantly, SSTs (surface sea temperatures) have risen only a small amount, but hurrican strength has doubled. Imagine what will happen when SSTs really rise in the near future!

Furthermore, methane hydrate (10,000 billion tons) under the ocean is starting to melt. This is an immense hazard to shipping, airlines, and cities, plus it will dramatically speed up global warming. This is what caused the smell in Manhatten a few weeks ago, and has affected other ocean communities too, with residents flooding hospitals because of respiratory problems.

On the other hand, we see Legislators like Florida willfully ignorant of the increased risk, trying to legislate lower insurance rates. Heck, maybe they can just make hurricanes illegal!

Great post but you forgot one big thing, actually 2 things.

    1. where were all the BIG, NASTY hurricains this season that were predicted because of GLOBAL WARMING???

    2. \”but hurrican strength has doubled\”, even though the season that brought us Katrina was tame compared to the 1933 hurricain season, the worst on modern record. REMEMBER THAT 20 YEARS AGO, SCIENTISTS TOLD US THAT WE WERE ON THE VERGE OF THE NEXT ICE AGE. What a difference 20 years can make on the weather…

What will we be saying 20 years from now, we\’ll be back to the next ice age because it will be the next big political scare tactic…

Some hurricane seassons will be worse than others. There is a reason house insurance rates are going up-increased risk of damage from hurricanes. If you don\’t believe there is an increased risk, then you should put your money where your mouth is and get into the reinsurance business for hurricane coverage.

Frankly, it is hard to believe that anybody disbelieves the relationship between higher SSTs and bigger hurricanes. Like I always say: if you don\’t believe in global warming, then wait a few decades.
