Yeah, contained unless you’ve overinvested the taxpayers’ money and the Governor freezes your attempts to withdraw funds in order to protect SBA loans.

“A.M. Best does not expect, at this time, to take negative rating actions due to the effects of the subprime crisis, with the possible exception of a handful of companies with above average exposure” and the rest of this dismal article.

What a rating service! Reminiscent of the ones that got everyone into the mortgage crisis to begin with. Is the paper of company x creditworthy? Do some real research and give us some real answers!

Are we going to see rating actions after the horse has already left the barn? What use is this approach to buyers and brokers?

A rated one day– C rated the next. Real helpful.

A.M. Best is a bunch of BS. They have absolutely no credibility in my book.
