Maybe more people will use their seatbelts for fear of getting slammed by an airbag. Nothing else seems to work. Of course this will spawn another theory of liability for those morons who don’t use their belts as they’ll claim nobody told them not using them would increase their injuries due to air bags alone. We need to stop begging people to use passive restraints. If they don’t care about their safety, nobody else should either. I’d like to see their medical benefits be denied if the injury is caused by their failure to use seatbelts.
Personally I had a hans device installed in my car recently. It can be cumbersome, especially on short trips, but I feel safer. I think they should be required by law.

What is that?
They are used in Nascar race cars to keep your head in place in a violent collision.
Thanks!
Head And Neck Support
Something like a cage connecting the head to the chest, thus reducing the stress over the neck during a violent impact.
Reduces lateral view to something like 30-45º because limits head and neck movements.
Reduces injuries and fatalities on motorsport. All kinds of racing leagues allow and sometimes require it.
