ASPN Expands Regional Territories, Names 5 New Vice Presidents

ASPN (Agency Specialty Product Network) announced it is expanding its regional territories from seven to 11 in the U.S.

In addition to the five curent ASPN regional vice presidents, ASPN has added five new regional vice presidents to further increase product distribution and awareness of ASPN provider companies, their products and services. One position remains to be filled.

ASPN is a unit of Aon Corp. and operates as a marketing arm for more than 25 provider companies including insurance carriers, wholesalers, managing general underwriters and insurance services companies.

New Regional Vice Presidents

Paul Granata will head the Southwest Region, which includes Arizona, New Mexico, Southern California, Southern Nevada and El Paso, Texas. Granata joins ASPN after 11 years at Great American Insurance Group. He served most recently as regional marketing manager of Great American where he developed producer relationships in the 12 western states for which he was responsible. Prior to that, he was southwestern regional manager for AIG.

The West Central Region that includes Central/Northern California, Hawaii and Northern Nevada will be headed by Kim Wells. She joins ASPN as regional vice president from Victor O. Schinnerer & Co., where she served as vice president, public entity programs. Her insurance industry background spans 23 plus years and includes experience in insurance brokerage management, regional and senior underwriting, marketing management, product development, strategic marketing and overall management.

Connie Adams is the new vice president for the Mid-Central Region covering Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Adams joins ASPN as regional vice president and is known to ASPN because of her previous affiliation with Cananwill. She has spent over 30 years in the insurance and finance industries, working with the independent agency system in her current location as well as in Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Ken Chappell is the new vice president for the Mid-Atlantic Region that includes Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York (excluding N.Y. City and Long Island), Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. Chappell joins ASPN from the Irwin Siegel Agency where he served as associate vice president, marketing for the past nine years. Prior to that time, he was national accounts manager, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, for managed care products. Chappell brings 17 years of insurance experience in customer service, business analyses, account management, commercial underwriting, and independent agent and broker relations and development.

The Northeast Region Vice President is Rob Romano. This region encompasses Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York City and Long Island. Romano brings 21 years of insurance industry experience to his position. His career has included senior sales and regional marketing management positions at retail brokerages as well as insurance carrier RVP experience. Romano joins ASPN from Midwest Employers Casualty Co. Through his career, he has been involved with new product development, marketing and sales of a variety of standard, specialty and alternative risk management insurance products.
