A risk consultant for Virginia-based insurance broker Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Co. (HRH) has coauthored “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Campus Safety.”

Guy Antinozzi says the book was written to provide college students with practical tips and resources on how to stay safe on campus. The featured topics range from everyday dorm life to the perils of online social Web sites; from prevalent encounters, like hazing and property theft, to less frequent but emotionally devastating campus shootings and other acts of violence.

This is the third “Complete Idiot’s Guide to” book Guy has coauthored He feels his background in institutional and personal security lent itself to the creation of his newest book and the time was right.

“I wrote this book because it seemed timely with acts of campus violence consistently making national headlines,” he said. “It is important for students to have a basic understanding of the risks surrounding them, and the appropriate steps to take in dealing with these situations.”

Guy Antinozzi is a member of HRH’s Risk Mitigation Group, a team of experts with a variety of investigatory and criminal justice backgrounds. Together they provide due diligence investigations, threat assessments, international travel consulting, information assurance assessments, business intelligence investigations and workers compensation surveillance.
