As usual another democrat squealling about how bad things are and trying to point the finger of blame somewhere else. Correct me if I’m wrong, but, wasn’t he in charge when ‘the rock’ was churning all their whole life policies into variable illustrated at 14%+ so they could venture capital fund their real estate division? Wonder who was wearing the blue dress during his tenure.

…from only one side however. Article failed to mention a few things about the “experts” quoted.
Eugene Ludwig – former comptroller under DEMOCRAT Bill Clinton
Arthur Levitt – SEC Chairman appointed by DEMOCRAT Bill Clinton
Was Jimmy Carter too busy? or too obvious?
    And this about Mr. Ludwig–
“During his term, Mr. Ludwig spearheaded efforts to modernize the banking sector and revitalize the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977, a law which required banks to invest in impoverished areas and improve lending to low- and moderate-income borrowers.”
Did this have any thing to do with the mess we are in?
