Keystone Insurers Group (KIG), the fourth largest privately held property/casualty insurance agency in America and an Insurance Journal Top 100 Agency, announced the recipients of its fifth annual KIG Exemplary Awards. The award is presented to the outstanding Keystone agency partner in each state in which Keystone has done business for a minimum of two years.
During Keystone’s recent 2008 National Partner/Carrier Meeting in Concord, N.C., Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Colin Buzzard presented the awards to Wayah Insurance Group in Franklin, N.C.; Meixell-Diehl Insurance in Lewisburg, Pa. and GHT Insurance Agency, Inc. in Richmond, Va.
Buzzard noted that the award was implemented in 2003 “to objectively recognize the Keystone Partner in each state that best exemplifies profitability, production and commitment to our core insurance carriers.”
Keystone presently does business in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, and Ohio, and Buzzard said it is presently considering expansion into a sixth state.
Keystone Insurers Group, founded in 1983 and headquartered in Northumberland, Pa., is owned by its employees and 172 franchise partners in five states. Each partner is an independent agency.
With property/casualty premiums exceeding $1 billion, KIG is ranked fourth on Insurance Journal’s 2008 Top 100 Agencies list.
