Not going to step up to the government’s AIG overseer and ask for steak while the rest of the minions are being served gruel?

Well, duh! Ya think the answer would be, “Ah, go ahead. Afterall, it’s only free money”?

why not let him cash in his stocks, if he bought them at the values in mid-2008, let him have his options based on late 2008 values. i think he earned everything he gets now, just like the rest of the aig employees still there, as well as the tax payers… do a job, get paid accordingly.

Bravo, Shift Happens and Yes, to Barb Wire
WHAT about the shareholders and even (of course)the employees.
I guess question of the day is “who’s a bigger crook, the idiots at AIG who signed-on to credit default swaps and the crooked deals & “insurance” policies they colloborated on, or Bernie (The Goniff)Madoff ?
    Answer:
    who cares ?

I wonder what the basis would have been in the stock subject to the award. It could be AIG’s price at the award date, which would mean this was just a tax avoidance deal (not accepting something worth about $2 dollars today but which may have ben taxed as if worth $25).

Is it my imagination or have some real morons discovered this site? Can’t write, spell or compose a coherent thought in a post. I certainly hope these types of illiterate postings aren’t from people in our industry.

I usually ignore similar postings, but this is not the first time you’ve lit into someone who failed to edit his/her offering. (See what I did there? I used the word “lit”, which carries a double meaning. Did ya see that?)

Any who. Can’t we all just learn to get along? (See what I did there? Huh? Huh? I made a reference to Rodney King; another poster who was beat half to death because he forgot to edit his words.)

Did I pass? Any misspellings or moronic grammatical errors to kick me in the groin over? (See what I did there? Huh? Huh? I used a fragmented phrase to piss you off.)

Sheesh! Let people express themselves and then try to understand their thoughts – it helps to keep the discussion flowing. You’ve obviously got the goods to reign as intellectual supreme over the forum, but you just never know what insightful gems you will miss picking up once you’ve closed your mind.
