Venture Introduces New Professional, Management Liability Unit

February 2, 2009

Venture Insurance Programs has introduced ProWriters, a new management and professional liabilities unit that works directly with appointed agencies to find the best coverage and risk management solutions for financial services companies.

ProWriters has underwriting and brokerage relationships with A.M. Best “A-” to “A++” insurers, offering errors and omissions liabilty (E&O), directors and officers liability (D&O), employment practices liability (EPL) and fiduciary liability coverage. These coverages are designed for real estate and general partnerships, and financial services companies such as investment bankers, mortgage brokers and broker-dealers, investment advisors and more.

“ProWriters is different than wholesaler offerings,” said Tara Harvey Bramwell, vice president of ProWriters. “Our highly skilled team will work directly with appointed agencies to provide the product intelligence and selling advantages versus competing policies. While our negotiated coverage and pricing are highly competitive, our goal is to help agents and brokers become the professional liability expert for their clients.”

ProWriters features risk management tools through IRISK Solutions to help companies reduce their exposure to costly litigation and claims, including negotiation of favorable terms and conditions, industry benchmarking, education and seminars, and real estate and financial institution experts.

Like other industry programs at Venture, ProWriters will be available on an open market basis to all agents and brokers; however, ProWriters will focus on offering additional consulting services to a limited number of producers from diverse geographic areas. Benefits to ProWriters’ appointed agencies include:

• Gaining management and professional liability expertise without adding payroll costs.
• Reducing agency E&O through comprehensive file detail.
• Improving the agency’s customer service through knowledge and responsiveness.
• Differentiating the agency through a unique, “closed” support system.
