My thoughts exactly. If the courts would start throwing out the frivilous lawsuits and people would start taking responsibility for their own actions – we would not see this uptrend.
Don’t forget the major increase in EPL claims. I have witnessed a serious rise in these types of claims since many of my construction clients have had a “reduction of workforce” due to a slowing in jobs.
I wonder if more people sue during and after a recession in hopes of hitting the insurance lottery?
