The penalty (18 months in prison, $250,000 fine) is less than the fine you would get if you videotaped a 60 second clip of a movie in the movie theater.

If you did that you could get 5 years in prison plus the $250,000 fine.

How wrong are our priorities??? Massive fraud gets a lesser punishment than a civil intellectual property violation???

This is a truly sad snapshot of the American justice system.

Hank Greenberg is stating to the world that he did not know what was going on. We should be making example of these people. All of this meww with AIG happened under Hank’s watch. Hank should be joining them in prison.

This chick should have got 25 years with no parole. This was a $500M Fraud!!! She is a financial expert who should have been held to a higher standard!!

She got a punishment equivalent to retail theft. What is going on here??
