A come back in 2011….let’s hope so. with Obama at the wheel, I would not hold my breath.

If they really wanted to turn things around quickly, give us a break from all taxes for 1 year-business and personal.

We need to vote this jerk out of office and make him a 1 term mistake like Carter-

I agree with E&S Man, but we don’t have to wait until the next Presidential Election: we need to act now, with the coming ‘mid-term’ elections in 2010. This will be our opportunity to vote the bums out; be they Democrats or Republicans. As far as I’m concerned, the citizens of this country have been pooped on by every incumbent currently in office.

I’m no fan of Obama, but I agree with J.T.
However, what happened with Gingrich and the Republican’s “Contract with America”??
The last eight years of Republican excess, an ill conceived and executed war in Iraq, and now a deficit that tops a trillion – this recession lies squarely on the shoulders of George W. Bush and the Republicans in Congress.

    Fla Agent…are you kidding???!!!

President Bush kept us safe for 7 years. As far as the economy goes, that falls on the democrats who insisted on making home loans to people with no means to make a house payment. Barney Frank and the rest of the idiots in the democratic party deserve that praise.

No, the economy is the fault of democrats who push a social agenda. Where do you think their base comes from?

You left out the fact that despite testimony of many individuals in front of congressional committees the need to investigate the lending practices of the two Fannies, Barney Frank and the other Democrats in power refused to authorize an investigation of those two institutions.

Where is the demand that the bonuses to paid to the heads of the Fannies be stopped?

I’m sure the $1-$2 trillion (depending on whose estimate you believe) spent on the Iraq war didn’t put any stress on the economy…

Prakash: sure, you are right-President Bush was wrong to spend all that money protecting us. Better to be fat dumb and happy and wake up one morning with the news that LA, Chicago, Miami, DC or some other city was nuked and millions dead.

There was no 9/11 or any Islamic group of radicals wishing us harm.

    It was all a dream-

E&S Man: W kept the country safe for 7 years. Too bad he wasn’t paying enough attention to keep the country safe during his 1st year!
