    It’s not that they don’t try hard or want to do the right thing, but it is simply and factually impossible to attain uniformity across the states because there are 50 state legislatures out there. We can’t even get the 50 states to pass seat-belt laws without the Federal Govt twisting their arms, never mind get 50 states to deal with less obvious and more complex issues like who is going to watch AIG’s holding company’s activity.
