Where is the public outcry against government involvement in crop insurance?

With all of the public and political objection to government participation in health insurance, shouldn;t the government simply let the private crop insurers mind their own business?

boon: You’re right — this is a subsidy that is largely being sucked up by offshore companies. Tell the Bermuda boys to stop sucking at the public teat.

I don’t understand your comments regarding the “Bermuda boys”. The majority of the crop hail and Multiple Peril Crop Hail (MPCI) business is writtten by mutual companies domiciled in the US. See link from the RMA’s web site.
