The Hartford is destined for failure. The company has made some very bad decissions for many years. The company does not understand building long and lasting relationships with its agents as it used to do back in the early 1980’s. The company started selling AARP direct, created a service center and twisted the arms of its agents to move the business there and reduced the commissions by 5% to 10%. They just about annually reduce the number of agents and at the same time appoint new ones. YOU CANNOT HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH A COMPANY LIKE THAT.

    SELL YOUR STOCK!

HIG is paying back the TARP money as the top management want their insanely huge bonus’. If they keep the TARP money then the Feds can restrict what they can get if anything.

so, why can they purch this stock and not any others? if so, can’t they easily make up our debt if done correctly. sounds to me like hartford does not care about being out from under the scrutiny of the gov’t.

when will these companies just learn to fail because they made wrong choices? if you want to put an analogy on this, it be like allowing a robber to keep robbing, why not finally make the robber pay for his crime. now, why don’t we allow these companies to fail!
